After guiding India to a thrilling victory in the one-off Twenty20 International in Sri Lanka, the Pathan brothers - Yusuf and Irfan - joined hands once again to script a four-wicket win for Baroda against Mumbai in the opening match of the West Zone Ranji Trophy limited overs tournament played here on Sunday. Chasing a competitive target 279, Yusuf (101 not out) and Irfan (51 not out) shared an unbeaten 105 runs for the seventh wicket to guide Baroda home with more than five overs in hand.

Pathan bros sail India to victory in T20

India clinch the thrilling Twenty20 by 3 wickets with a partnership of 59 from 25 by the Pathan brothers. At one stage when Jadeja departs it seems the match was going towards Sri Lankans, but India had depth in their batting which was illustrated by the terrific hitting from the Pathan brothers. On a high after demolishing Sri Lanka 4-1 in the just-concluded ODI series, world Twenty20 champions India made it again in the first Twenty20 international cricket match on Lankan soil.

Irfan and Yusuf Pathan shared an explosive unbeaten half-century partnership to ensure India celebrated victory in the first ever Twenty20 International in Sri Lanka. Irfan (33 not out) and Yusuf (22 not out) came together with India in trouble chasing 172 to win but steered their side to a win with four balls to spare, Irfan sealing the victory with a huge six over midwicket.

India's Pathan brothers - Irfan and Yousuf - scripted a dramatic turnaround leading to a thrilling three-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the one-off Twenty20 match on Tuesday. Chasing 172, India were down in the dumps at seven for 115 before Irfan (33 off 16 balls) and Yousuf (22 off 10)smashed an unbeaten 59-run stand in just 31 balls.
