Shane Warne did the trick in the first season of the IPL when he led a team branded 'the weakest' to the Twenty20 tournament title. It was not only his captaincy that worked wonders, but equally effective was his leg-spinners that saw him claim 19 wickets in 15 games.

Smith surprised by Ponting’s decision to bowl 1st

South African cricket captian Graeme Smith couldn’t believe it when Ricky Ponting decided to bowl first in the Port Elizabeth one-dayer on Monday.
Ponting’s decision backfired with South Africa compiling a formidable 6-317 before bowling the tourists out for 256 to claim an unbeatable 3-1 lead in the five-match series.
