Ryan Watson Steps Down As Scotland Captain

Ryan Watson has announced he is to stand down as Scotland captain following a two-year spell leading the side. Watson was at the helm as Scotland finished in sixth place in the World Cup Qualifier in South Africa, and after a poor run of form with the bat, he has made the decision to step aside.

Scotland name preliminary squad for World Twenty20

Scotland's selectors have named a preliminary squad for the World Twenty20 in England in June. The squad consists of the 25 players who were previously selected for the national squad with the addition of Matthew Parker and Stuart Chalmers.

Scotland Look Forward To Twenty20 Clash With England

Scotland will meet England in a Twenty20 match for the first time in a Twenty20 World Cup warm-up match at Trent Bridge, in Nottingham. The first Twenty20 clash between the two nations follows last year's abandoned One Day International and takes place on June 2nd, one day before Scotland take on the Netherlands in a second warm-up game.

World Cup Qualifier To Take Place From April 1-19

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that the 12-team qualifying event for the 2011 World Cup will be held from April 1st to 19th at nine venues in South Africa. The ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier will be played out over 54 matches with the final taking place at Centurion Park.
