India's star batsman and captain of the Kings XI Punjab, Yuvraj Singh, reckons the second season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will emerge even ‘bigger’ than the inaugural season, despite the fact that the organisers shifted the event to South Africa due to a political fallout.

Sreesanth will miss IPL this season

Mohali: Pace bowler S. Sreesanth will miss the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) season two in April-May due to a stress fracture in his lower back, his IPL team Kings XI Punjab announced Wednesday. Sreesanth is currently in Sydney receiving treatment from the Kings XI Punjab physio Patrick Farhart as part of his rehabilitation.

Kings XI Punjab announce IPL squad

After inducting England batsman Ravi Bopara at three times his base price and West Indian pacer Jerome Taylor in their ranks, Kings XI Punjab has announced their squad for the second edition of the Indian Premier League. Bopara was bought by the Mohali team for USD 450,000 while Taylor cost them USD 150,000.
