South African cricket captian Graeme Smith couldn’t believe it when Ricky Ponting decided to bowl first in the Port Elizabeth one-dayer on Monday.
Ponting’s decision backfired with South Africa compiling a formidable 6-317 before bowling the tourists out for 256 to claim an unbeatable 3-1 lead in the five-match series.

SOUTH Africa have beaten Australia in a one-day series for the third successive time after claiming a 61-run win in Port Elizabeth.
The victory, built on a century from Herschelle Gibbs, gives the Proteas a 3-1 advantage in the five-match series and returns the top ranking to their grasp.

Herschelle Gibbs returned to form with a stunning century as South Africa hit Australia for 317 for six in the fourth One Day International in Port Elizabeth.
Gibbs was in imperious form, reaching 110 in 116 balls after Australia won the toss and chose to insert South Africa
